What is your new job?
As a Work Preparation Engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition from engineering to production. You are responsible for the preparation, planning, and optimization of production activities, ensuring that operations run efficiently and according to plan. Over time, this role will evolve into part of a continuous improvement team, focused on operational excellence and efficiency. You will report to the Team Lead and work closely with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and planners to optimize production processes.
Your key responsibilities:
Prepare production activities by translating engineering data into clear work instructions.
Plan and coordinate production and logistics processes to ensure streamlined operations.
Provide first-line production support, resolving issues and optimizing workflows.
Evaluate and improve production processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.
Collaborate closely with engineers, manufacturing specialists, and planners to ensure optimal production feasibility.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, supporting operational excellence.
Job requirements
We are looking for a practical and process-oriented professional who thrives in a high-tech manufacturing environment. Our ideal candidate has:
Education: MBO+ or HBO in a technical field, such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of composites, production methods, and engineering processes.
Process Optimization Skills: Insight into planning, efficiency improvement, and workflow optimization.
Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset to identify and implement improvements.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively connect with engineers, production teams, and planners.
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
