At Airborne Aerospace, we are dedicated to the design and manufacturing of composite aerospace structures. Composites are rapidly becoming the standard material of choice, because of their superior  properties, which is essential to maximize performance for aircraft, satellites and launchers.

Your Role

As a Project Buyer in Airborne’s Purchasing team, you will be working for the Aerospace business unit. This role’s main responsibility is to purchase goods and service for our aerospace projects, on time, on specification and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

·         Purchase goods & services for projects

·         Coordinate purchase scope of assigned projects

·         Contribute to  (implementation of) purchase strategy

·         Expedite running orders

·         Contribute to supplier rating and management

·         All other tasks as assigned by manager

Airborne has a strong international orientation, in customers, suppliers and colleagues. You will navigate the cultural differences and are open to occasional travelling, providing an opportunity to let your communication and negotiation skills shine.

Your team

In this role, you will report to Airborne’s Procurement Manager and work together with colleagues in the Procurement department. You will also keep in close touch with internal stakeholders such as Project Management, Sales and Finance and maintains a network of existing and potential new suppliers, to ensure that materials are available in time and at the best price.

What You Bring

·         Education: Bachelor degree level (or Associate degree level) in engineering or business field

·         Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in project procurement (or 10 years for Associate degree level)

·         Software skills: Office applications (user level), ERP systems (user level)

·         Language skills: Good skills in reading, writing, speaking English
