Our automation business unit provides digital automation equipment for manufacturing of lightweight composite structures, which are needed to bring performance, sustainability and durability to our customers.  At Airborne we have a ‘blue ocean’ strategy, creating new innovative automation and software solutions that open up opportunities that are currently not addressed. Today, 80% of the industry still uses manual labour and that is the segment we are addressing.

Our customers are the leading international players (Airbus, Boeing, Lockheed Martin for example), our team is full of the brightest engineers, our strategic positioning is strong, the technology we are developing is challenging.  We are seeking a energetic, front-stage Managing Director that brings this together, builds a winning team, navigates the waves that are inherent to innovation and brings the promise to a profitable bottom-line.

The Role of Managing Director
As Managing Director, you will work directly with the board and founders to align strategy and execution. You will lead and guide the business unit with a hands-on mentality and clear view on how to shape the organisation. You will drive execution and rigor to be able to deliver as planned to our customers, while at the same time ensuring the roll-out of our product roadmap. You are P&L responsible and directly involved in creating the right financial structure for growth and stakeholder management, with the board.

Profile:

• Experience in a executive role with P&L responsibility in a complex, high-tech and international context

• Inspiring people manager who knows how to connect and motivate teams

• Affinity with software development and high-rate automation

• Hands-on, creative, and solution-oriented.  Funny and inspiring in communication
