Airborne’s focus is on high-end composite components, at high production rates at radically low conversion costs. We work in The Hague, Ypenburg (NL) and Lambourn (UK). Together we are a dynamic group of 135 employees. Airborne is growing very fast, around the 50% a year.

What is your new job?

Currently the position of Financial Controller is available within the Finance department for 32-40 hours per week.

For the position we are looking for someone who likes to work in a scale up environment where a hands-on mentality is key.

As a financial controller of the Business Unit of Airborne Aerospace  you are reporting directly to the Manager Control and Finance of Airborne Aerospace. Providing financial insights and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making, contributing to the overall financial strategy and growth of the organization. 

You are responsible for:

Key responsibilities and duties:

• Project control and project reviews.

• Responsible for the month-end and year-end closing, reports and variances analysis.

• Performance KPIs.

• Prepare the cash flow planning.

• Participate at the rolling financial forecast process.

• Good cross-functional communication and collaboration (finance, purchases, sales, operational and management teams).

• Manage relationships with external auditors.

Reporting Lines and Interactions

The Finance department currently consists of five people, consisting of the CFO, Head of Finance, GL Accountant and two Financial Accountants. The Finance department has a strong collaboration with the two Business Unit Controllers and their two Assistant BU Controllers. 

Education 

• A Master's degree in finance ( or controlling), accounting or business administration is required for this post.

Work experience

• At least 2-4 year of relevant work experience

• High degree of autonomy

• Fluent in both English (Dutch speaking is a plus but not mandatory)
